The battery lasts longer, charges faster, and the screen quality is so much better and clearer. My daughter absolutely loves it way more than the 7 and the size is so much better for watching her YouTube videos and watching her fav Netflix shows. baby loves it for watching elmo My son is in Love! This was a great buy.. my son is 1yrs old and very advanced so we decided to go ahead and get this for him.. you can download Netflix with no problem as well as Disney plus.. Very upset! This is NOT a tablet or case for a child!! This is for my children who are 10 and 6. Would never have ordered if I knew it was going to be for a grown up. My son dropped the last tablet  and cracked the whole screen, so I swore the next case we would get would be one where he wouldn’t be able to crack ANYTHING ! !Update: Customer service was great and replaced everything and we received the first tablet today. My son loves it and has been on it since we got it! Very happy now and will be receiving my daughters tomm so will be even happier then I love the blue bumper on the tablet to protect it from getting broken. I love how everything is kid and baby friendly. The set up was super easy and fast! My son loves his tablet and I’m super excited I purchased this!! Plenty of fun for kids of all ages for sure!! ! Like it as a piece of technology. Its well built and runs well, but Im not a fan of how the kids FreeTime works. A lot of the items that are preselected are extremely obnoxious, chaotic, and overwhelming (including the educational items). My children are sensitive to sensory overloading and had a hard time finding the apps and videos they liked because of how much was on there. I spent HOURS manually blocking thousands of apps, audiobooks, ebooks, and videos to fix this, later to find that they added more the next day. If there was a block all option, and from there, add the ones my kids want to use, we all would be much more pleased. I like exposure and my kids like when they have their daily screen time, which is why we got the tablet to begin with. I just wish it could be at smaller increments and less of a hassle to make it more sensory-sensitive kid friendly.Please fix this for our family. This is a great tool, make it better :) Which yes, the kindle kid cases are amazing with protection.-The year of Free Time, which is the kids gaming platform.-The 2 year replacement guarantee (that I have used in the past for a broken screen. SUPER easy process. You have to CALL Amazon to do this, it cannot be done via your order page; Return the kindle without case to Amazon, they ship you a replacement kindle without the case. )O N L Y differences. So when I see all of these negative reviews about the kids kindle, then I jump over to the positive reviews on the normal kindle, its baffling. And I did compare the two because its a $50 price difference, and what really sold this version for me, rather than buying everything separately, was the 2 year replacement guarantee.My child started out with my Fire HD 7, which you can switch between adult and kid profiles on as well. Any kindle can be a kids kindle as long as youve got a childs profile set up. Once she got bigger/older, we bought her the kids edition 8. So the kids edition 10 is her Christmas gift this year. Its so much faster than the 8, obviously bigger. And I loved that with having it connected to my account before shipment, setup was fast-All the hard work was done and I just had to select a pin for this device, it was set up and ready to go within 10 minutes. Memory card slot on the side, removal and replacement of the case is MUCH easier than on the 8. The volume on this thing is loud, crisp, and clear.With the 10, the only differences Ive noticed that would be worth mentioning is that usually on the other kindles, you would pull down the settings bar to click on the icon and switch profiles. With this one it seems youve got to lock, click the icon, then switch profiles. Not a big deal to me and Im sure it wont be to her. She uses my profile for regular youtube and roblox, just normal things that arent accessible on the kids/free time dashboard. Click Link In Desc..
