PROTEIN - Even though protein is called the building blocks of the body but for a kidney failure patient, excessive protein consumption is very harmful because it increases the creatinine level in the body. Food sources high in protein include meat, chicken, fish, eggs. 2. DAIRY PRODUCTS - Dairy products like milk, curd, butter are high sources of protein. High consumption of dairy products can lead to an increase in the creatinine level of a kidney failure patient. 3. SALT - For a kidney failure patient excessive amount of salt can be very dangerous because it leads to high blood pressure. The patient should absolutely avoid sea salt because it is prepared in factories and hence is a pure form of sodium chloride. The patient should either consume Himalayan salt or pink salt instead of sea salt. 4. LEAFY VEGETABLES - A kidney failure patient should avoid vegetables which are high in potassium and are roots based like potato and sweet potato. Leafy vegetables should also be avoided as they contain very high potassium which is very harmful for a kidney failure patient. 5. SOUR FOOD - Sour food items increase the acid level in the body of a kidney failure patient. This further makes the blood acidic and harms the kidney of the patient even more. 6. JAGGERY - Jaggery contains a very high amount of potassium and should be completely avoided by a kidney failure patient. Water should be consumed in a sufficient amount by a kidney failure patient. Less quantity of water will create less urine and that will, in turn, increase the creatinine level in the body. Half to one cup of water at a given time is enough for a kidney failure patient is sufficient for an ample amount of urine discharge. 7.
