How can we help our kids make the most out of their Dual Language Immersion at school, if they\'re learning Spanish?  Give them lots of comprehensible input at home (familiar songs and stories they can listen to over and over again), give them tools and language to help lower their affective filters (the anxiety that can impede learning) and help out the team by also making effort ourselves and showing how much we value language and our children\'s teachers! It shows effort and is a natural part of the learning process.   Take risks! That\'s how we learn!  It\'s normal and human to feel overwhelmed, especially when we are learning a new language.   Breathing is a tool that helps us relax and think more calmly: Inhale four counts in through the nose, exhale four counts out through the mouth.
