'COVERING your boobs in tape to avoid wearing an unflattering bra on a night out is a rite of passage for any devout fashion fan - including Kim Kardashian. The reality star has revealed that she used to always turn to gaffer tape for support when wearing some of her slinkier outfits - and it even got to the point where it would RIP off a layer of skin. Plugging her new range of \"gentle\" boob tape, Kim filmed a step-by-step tutorial for her 151m Instagram followers inside her walk-in wardrobe. She said: \"I\'m going to show you how to tape up your boobs with boob tape because it\'s something I used to do for so many years.\" As part of her SKIMS shapewear range, the mum-of-three is bringing out rolls of \"tit tape\" in light, medium and dark skintones as well as nipple covers. The star demonstrated how it works as an effective alternative to a bra when wearing low-cut or backless dresses or her favourite plunging blazers by placing it from the collarbone underneath the breast to \"lift\" it. Sharing hilarious throwback pictures of her covered in gaffer tape behind the scenes of a 2008 photoshoot, Kim admitted that it \"would burn [her] and rip [her skin].\" What\'s more, Kim promises that her range of inclusive tit tape is \"gentle\" to remove. To prove just how easy it is, Kim then slowly peeled the tape off the model who replied: \"That wasn\'t painful all.\" Explaining how much she\'s always relied on it over the years, Kim then shared previous outfits she\'s worn where she\'s both nailed the tit tape AND ended up with one \"low\" boob and one \"high\" one. Kim added: \"I haven\'t really seen a tape out there that was in a different variety of new colours so I\'m excited to launch these really soon along with our nipple covers.\" Filming the tutorial on a model, the star reiterated that the \"overall aim is to not see any tape\" and highlighted how there were no lasting red marks on the skin where it had been.
